Smithfield River Rat Regatta on the Neuse

July 13th, 2019

4 PM

Neuse River Boat Ramp, Downtown Smithfield, NC

Join Downtown Smithfield in their 2nd Annual River Rat Regatta! The fun starts at 4PM; watch as 2-person teams race down the Neuse River in handmade cardboard boats. Awards will be given for different divisions, The Justin Kyle Band will be performing, and food trucks will be on site. You won’t want to miss this memorable (and hilarious) race!



Downtown Clayton Movie Night-Wizard of OZ

July 12th, 2019

6 PM

Clayton Town Square- 110 West Main St, Downtown Clayton

Downtown Clayton is hosting a series of movie nights over the next few months, and for the Wizard of OZ’s 80th anniversary they will be playing this classic on the big screen. The movie starts when the sun goes down, but the fun starts at 6 PM with face painting, food trucks, a bouncy house, games, and more! No tickets required! Bring your own blankets, drinks, and food and enjoy a classic under the stars.



Sip + Shop: A Last Friday in Clayton Celebration

July 26th, 2019

5:30PM – 8:30 PM

301 E. Main St. Clayton

Sip + Shop is a fun shopping and wine tasting event in which guests walk along the streets of Downtown Clayton, visiting local businesses, viewing artists in action, and participating in the wine tasting. Golf carts will be available for easy transport. Join the downtown fun!



Pickling and Fermentation Workshop

July 14th, 2019

10 AM-2PM

Under the Oak Cafe-135 3rd St, Smithfield

Learn how to pickle like a pro with Under the Oak Cafe! Chef Blake Gotliffe will show you his secrets to pickle perfection. From their website: “…Vinegar pickles, salt brine fermentation, and sauerkraut/kimchi method!…We will provide all the ingredients, vessels, Under the Oak T-shirts, and lunch!” Sounds like a blast, and a very informative workshop!
